I was born in 1973 in Bonn, but I grew up in South Africa up to the age of 16 and then moved back to Germany.
After graduating from high school, I studied art history but longed for creative practical activity, so I dropped out to do an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker. I spent a few years in upscale furniture construction and also became very interested in carving, sculpting and graphic design.
Seeking artistic automny and an arena in which to be truly creative, I set up my own studio with first-class (mostly hand) tools, which met my high standards and still does justice to my creative sphere today.
As a woodworker, I feel obligated to repay my debt to nature for the exploitation of its resource by using wood mindfully to create works of art that offer long-term value.
